Welcome to Barnardos NILS® Scheme on-line.
Barnardos Australia in 2002 extended its services to include the No Interest Loans Scheme (NILS®) to support low income families buy essential household items, such as a washing machine, fridge or medical appliances.
Our first funding partner was Encompass Credit Union with whom we developed the very successful Boomerang Grant and the scheme targets families living in the Penrith area.
As current applicants pay back their loans and additional funders offer their support and capital against which the loans can be drawn, Barnardos now offers NILS loans to applicants residing near any of our Centres and Offices located at Auburn, Canberra and ACT, Cobar, Gilgandra, Mudgee, Narromine, Nyngan, Penrith (Cranebrook), Queanbeyan, Ultimo - Yurungai Centre, Ultimo - Sydney Metro Centre and Wellington.
